Role Summary
This role supports the Accounts Payable and wider Finance Team. The Accounts Payable department at Kinly handles the Invoices received from Suppliers. Invoices are put against Purchase Orders, predominantly, and your role will be to match invoices against these. Accuracy is critical, as is the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues through to fruition as part of the Accounts Payable Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading invoices;
- Liaising with Purchasing for PO amendments to enable invoices to be loaded;
- Assigning serial numbers for some posted invoice;
- Obtaining approvals where required for invoices;
- Reconciling statements;
- Checking and posting batches created by others; and
- Assist the Accounts Payable Team Leader in day-to-day tasks and ad hoc as and when required.
Job requirements
Skills Profile
- A working knowledge of accounts payable principles would be beneficial;
- Experience gained in accounts payable operations;
- It is important to have a good understanding of accounting processes both on the purchase and sales side;
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping;
- Detail-oriented;
- A mathematical mindset;
- Understanding of accounting categories;
- Knowledge of accounting systems and classes e.g. possess a knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP would be useful;
- Have a good understanding of Excel;
- Be hardworking;
- Be accurate and good attention to detail;
- Be able to work on your own, use your own initiative and as part of a team;
- Be organised and have a methodical approach to work; and
- Have the ability to work to deadlines.
