Role: Audio Visual Support Desk Field Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: New Jersey - fully mobile role - 5 days in the field visiting client sites around NJ/NY areas

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (dependent on experience) and benefits which include – travelling expenses, health, life, vision/dental insurance; disability, vacation, sickness, 401K, commuter benefits & employee assistance program

 

This is a field-based role, covering the New Jersey & New York areas, so candidates will need to be locally based to be considered and will need access to a personal vehicle

We have a large portfolio of blue-chip clients and the current opportunity we have will play an important role in providing that client-facing, on-site extension of the Kinly Support Desk, resolving client issues and/or assisting with their events.

This is a development role, which allows individuals that already possess good experience with Crestron, Biamp and AV installations to progress their skills, while shadowing the current team, to become an expert in their field.

 

Key responsibilities (training will be provided):

  • Perform call set-up, low-to-high level problem determination of defective microphones, remote controls, system / system components, power cables, etc.

  • System maintenance, operations, and administration of video, audio, and web conferencing services

  • Installation of video conference & non-integrated audio/visual hardware

  • Training and supporting clients in the operations of video conferencing & audio visual systems

  • Assisting other video conferencing & audio/visual coordinators

  • Compiling room and equipment inventory for clients’ databases

  • Coordinating videoconferencing & audio-visual activities with other client’s facilities as required

Job requirements

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience supporting video conferencing & audio visual technology

  • Good grounding in Crestron and Biamp

  • Proven AV / VC installation for corporate clients

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Access to a personal vehicle

  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Adaptability; Be flexible to off-hour setup, support requests, or physical redeployment for backup purposes to meet customer timelines or service contract obligations
