Role - Commissioning Engineer

Contract type - Permanent

Location - New York (This is a hybrid role, requiring travel to client sites and our NY office as needed)

Salary - $100,000 - $130,000 per year (depending on experience), plus benefits


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Engineer to join a fast-growing technology company. Kinly is the UK’s leading provider of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions and is expanding rapidly overseas as well as developing several market leading innovations. The purpose of the role is to carry out the testing, verification and optimization of integrated systems to enhance our client’s user experience. This is a great role that would be well suited to an experienced AV professional looking to further their career.

Job requirements

Key responsibilities:

· Working with design CAD Schematics, ensuring systems are installed and working at optimum levels and to client expectations

· Fault finding systems and resolve issues associated with design and manufacture

· Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of systems in the manufacturing environment in line with developed test plans

· Complete Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at client’s site which includes final adjustment of system prior to handover to client

· Provide user-training to end client if our transition service in not available

· Support Project Manager in the successful delivery of all projects

· Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure technical knowledge is gained to successfully deliver projects


Skills and experience: 

· Excellent technical knowledge of AV & VC equipment from all major brands.

· An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects

· Ability to understand project schedule and plans

· Ability to prioritize and work under pressure is essential

· Ability to write DSP code (QSC, Biamp) and maintain Kinly standards in DSP, Control and software code

· Good understanding of IT and networks

· Ability to interface well with key project stakeholders and end users
