System/cloud engineer

As a System/Cloud engineer you have expert skills on Microsoft server systems, Azure cloud, virtualization and storage and have ability to collaborate across all other IT disciplines with experts in all areas and apply this knowledge in the Kinly infrastructure. You will be focusing on continuously improving all aspects of the infrastructure environment by using your analytical and technical skills. Within the team you continuously develop, implement, maintain and update the Kinly Hybrid Cloud infrastructure.

What will you do?

• Responsible for IT infrastructure projects and operations;
• Contribute to cloud adoption/migration strategy and corresponding roadmaps and projects;
• Implement automation with focus on increasing scalability, efficiency and reduce errors;
• Design, implement and monitor security controls together with Security department;
• Ensure continuity, performance, scalability and security of IT environment;
• Resolve and prevent incidents by proactive operations and monitoring.

What do you bring?

• You have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in IT or equivalent working experience, as well asrelevant (professional or expert level) certifications;
• You have experience, with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google cloud, etc.);
• Have experience solutions based on (hybrid) cloud with different cloud providers, such as AWS and Azure;
• familiar with scripting and automation methods such as BICEP to make changes to infrastructure quickly and efficiently;
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP to set up an effective and secure network infrastructure;
• You have knowledge and experience of Microsoft technology (Active Directory, Windows server, IIS and MS-SQL);
• A strong understanding of different operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix. You are able to install, configure, and maintain these systems;
• You have knowledge of VMware and HyperV;
• Have experience with automating processes and knowledge of PowerShell;
• The ambition to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure that critical systems and data are protected and available in the event of a disaster or outage;
• Have basic understanding of WAN/LAN/WLAN networking technologies;
• Have excellent analytical & problem-solving skills;
• You are proficient in English (‘must have’) and Dutch (‘nice to have’), both verbally and in writing;
• Are flexible and are willing to periodically be on stand-by, work outside of regular hours as necessary and travel internationally.
