About The Role

Position Summary:   We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Accountant to join the Kinly US accounting team.  Reporting directly to the Controller this person will be working with vendors, internal management, off site auditors and Global Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for timely, accurate and efficient accounting close on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigate and explain book to physical adjustments.
  • Manages accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, and general ledger accounting
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Performs technical accounting issue research and resolution as necessary.
  • Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepare AP ACH Runs, Concur payments, etc. based on cashflow. check requests and petty cash disbursements.
  • May supervise and guide Staff Accountants.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Accounting and Financial Processes through streamlining and automating processes.
  • Manages projects and initiatives as assigned to support Controller.
About The Candidate

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of progressive Accounting experience.
  • Experience in QuickBooks, SAAS tools such as Power Bi, Concur, RAMP, etc.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work and think independently.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
  • Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in technology industry or service industry
  • Possess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinker

Education/Experience:  Bachelor's degree in accounting or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

 

Mathematical Ability:

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:  Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, MS Project
