About The Role


The AV Technician’s prime function is to provide AV technical support across all meeting rooms. The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors of the client site to provide the services listed below.



A description of the role and responsibilities of a AV Technician is detailed below;

  • Audio Visual equipment setup, support and operation
  • Quick response to emergency / ad-hoc requests from the Helpdesk which must be delivered within 15 minutes of the request being received
  • Ensure room is presentable, tidy, safe and hazard free and all cables are secured and tidy
  • Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure
  • Ensure that all faults are reported in correct and timely manner
  • Carry out first line fault repairs
  • All equipment maintenance issues which cannot be rectified by the on-site technician must be logged to the maintenance provider
  • To liaise with Booking Desk, Reception, Voice Engineering, IT and client site Events Personnel on any requests that are made via Condeco
  • To cover functions in the large Auditorium from the AV Control Room and be confident in your ability to monitor a sound mixing desk and video recording and various other equipment for high profile meetings
  • Regularly monitor all AV requirements logged on Condeco in order to identify new requests and updates to bookings.
  • Converting mp4 videos to mp3 files
  • Record Power-point presentations via the Media site Encoder equipment on request
  • Attend external venues, liaise and assist with the Events Coordinators as required to ensure client requirements are fulfilled
  • Attend and contribute to departmental team meetings
