About The Role

Overview                                                                                 

The Warehouse person will work in the Scottish warehouse with responsibility for stock control and maintaining an organised and tidy space. The role will be based in the Scottish warehouse in Livingston. You will work as part of the Operations Department and also work closely with the install engineers and admin support ensuring an efficient running warehouse and that high standards are met throughout.

 

Role and responsibilities                                                        

  • Opening up and closing down of the warehouse including security checks and alarm set/unset.
  • Coordinate the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Booking in and out of items to ensure accurate stock is reflected.
  • Picking and packing of goods for delivery. Often delivering these to site in the company vehicle.
  • Liaising with couriers to arrange deliveries and booking those in on computerized system.
  • Waste management ensuring waste is recycled appropriately and kept tidy and organised. Delivering this waste to the relevant plant.
  • Ensure that all warehouse procedures are followed including required paperwork is issued and updated correctly.
  • Deal with stock returns & following up with suppliers and departments as required.
  • Assist in stock management.
  • Conduct regular stock takes in accordance with the company stock taking procedures.
  • Assist in consumables management.
