Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our growing company. In this position you will compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes. Duties include computing costs and calculating rates for goods, services, and shipment of goods; posting data; and keeping other relevant records. Will involve use of computers, calculators, multiple software platforms, and bookkeeping software.

  • Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
  • Produce and deliver timely and accurate invoices to Kinly customers.
  • Meet monthly close targets.
  • Work closely with collections team, provide backup when necessary.
  • Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
  • Invoice through web portals: Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten, AIA invoicing.
  • Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data or keeping other records concerning costs of goods or services or the shipment of goods.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
  • Basic math, bookkeeping and accounting skills
  • Answer mail or telephone inquiries regarding rates, routing, or procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Qualifications:  

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

Mathematical Ability:

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Microsoft Suite
  • QuickBooks preferred.
  • NetSuite knowledge a plus.
  • QuickBase and ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with Web Invoicing Portals, i.e. Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten
  • Microsoft Teams, Webex
