Location: California, West Coast, US
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week

Due to further we have opportunities for experienced Field Engineers to join our talented team, to support the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and light commissioning of commercial audiovisual systems throughout the West Coast region.
This is a hands-on field position for a technically strong AV professional who can work independently, communicate clearly with project teams and customers, and help bring installed systems to a successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot commercial AV systems at customer jobsites.
Read and interpret AV line drawings, signal-flow diagrams, rack elevations, wiring schematics, and construction drawings.
Diagnose system issues and isolate faults involving signal, control, audio, video, cabling, network-connected devices, or installation quality.
Perform light commissioning activities, including device verification, system functionality checks, basic configuration validation, and punch-list closeout.
Use appropriate AV test equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and correctly.
Coordinate with project managers, programmers, commissioning engineers, field leads, and customer contacts to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
Document jobsite conditions, completed work, outstanding issues, and recommended next steps through clear daily updates and field reports.
Identify scope gaps, drawing conflicts, missing equipment, or site-readiness concerns and escalate them promptly.
Provide technical guidance and support to installers and junior field personnel when assigned.
Skills & experience
Commercial AV installation and field troubleshooting experience.
Working knowledge of integrated audio, video, control, conferencing, and display systems.
Ability to read AV line drawings and construction drawings and apply them in the field.
Ability to troubleshoot commercial AV systems methodically and communicate findings clearly.
Experience with commercial AV control, DSP, conferencing, and networked AV platforms.
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a broader project team.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as required.
Preferred Qualifications (not essential)
AVIXA CTS certification
AVIXA CTS-I certification
