Role:  AV Commissioning Engineer

Location: Pune, India (allowing for a mix of hybrid home and office working)

Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Days: Monday – Friday 9.30 am - 6pm (37.5 hours per week)

Due to continued growth, we now have an opportunity for a proven Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer to join our highly collaborative team in Pune, to work within the technical team and be responsible for providing technical support and working with the Project Manager to carry out testing, verification and optimization of integrated systems to enhance our client’s user experience.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the equipment specified is correct for the installation

  • Review drawing package and prepare sufficient hardware, software and documentation for testing and commissioning

  • Work closely with the project managers and clients to ensure that all requirements specified are accounted for

  • Communicate required system functionality to the control system programmer

  • Liaise with 3rd party trades/subcontractors to ensure smooth integration

  • Test system racks to ensure they meet the requirements identifying and rectify faults prior to shipping

  • Commission equipment to the highest standard on site, including programming of audio DSP’s, setup of digital video systems and setup of video conferencing systems

  • Fault finding in systems and resolving issues associated with design and manufacture

  • Technical Training to the client during project handover

Skills and experience: 

  • Excellent technical knowledge of AV & VC equipment from all major brands

  • An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects

  • Ability to write DSP code (QSC, Biamp), fine tuning and maintain Kinly standards in DSP

  • Ability to commission control system and troubleshooting. Programming skill is a plus

  • Good understanding of IT and networks

  • CAD experience to produce detailed schematic to company standards is a plus

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as junior commissioning engineer
