Role: Finance Director Group & Americas

Location: Wall, NJ

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, plus benefits including: health, vision/dental insurance; disability, vacation, sickness, 401K

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Director Group & Americas is responsible for overseeing all financial operations for the U.S. entity and the consolidated group reporting. This includes financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and treasury management to ensure liquidity, optimize cash flow, and manage financial risk across multiple jurisdictions. Responsible for enterprise consolidation process and review of inter-company and inter-segment eliminations, corporate consolidations accounting, consolidated general ledger and ownership of the consolidated trial balance. Resolve and recommend solutions to complex problems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Group Controller Responsibilities

 

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  •  Lead consolidated group reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS & align with FP&A on monthly reporting.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the entities.

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements and international standards.

  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis globally.

 

Treasury Management

  •  Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts for U.S. and consolidated reporting based on input from group entities.

  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and intercompany funding.

  • Monitor and mitigate foreign exchange and interest rate risks.

  • Implement strategies for working capital optimization across the group.

  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies and internal controls.

 

Leadership & Collaboration

  •  Manage U.S. finance team and coordinate with financial directors in other regions.

  • Partner with senior management to support strategic initiatives and growth.

  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

 

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance and internal control requirements.

  • Ensure all regions have documented runbooks

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Support ERP system enhancements and financial automation projects.

 

U.S. Controller

 

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the U.S. entity.

  • Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Ensure compliance with internal control and corporate policies.

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for U.S. operations.

Treasury Management

  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.

  • Manage banking relationships.

  • Monitor cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.

  • Implement strategies for working capital optimization.

  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies and procedures.

 

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise U.S. accounting team and support their development.

  • Collaborate with Group Controller and other regional finance teams.

  • Act as liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

 

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit and liquidity risks.

  • Ensure runbooks are reviewed and updated annually.

  • Support ERP system implementation, improvements and financial automation initiatives.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and six (6) years of professional experience in accounting with two (2) years’ experience in a management role.

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Advanced accounting concepts, practices and procedures.

  • Reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing financial statements.

  • Preparing financial statements, budgets, and management reports.

  • Researching US GAAP issues

  • Analyzing financial information.

  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.

  • Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.

  • Work independently to resolve complex accounting problems.
