Role: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Wall, NJ (Kinly offer a hybrid working arrangement allowing for a mix of office/home working)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per annum, plus benefits including: health, vision/dental insurance; disability, vacation, sickness, 401K

As the company continues to grow further, we now have a new opportunity for a proven Accountant to oversee all financial activities across Americas and to play a leading role in recommending, designing and implementing financial controls aligned to departmental objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:                                                             

  • Working with the Financial Controller perform general accounting functions & accounting records

  • Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts

  • Perform month-end reconciliations

  • Assist outside auditors at year-end to include preparing schedules, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data

  • Maintain records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material

  • Recommend, design, and implement any necessary department controls

  • Interface with Information Management department for accounting and management data and initiate modifications/enhancements to computerized systems

Skills & experience

  • Accounting degree or proven experience in accounting, including revenue recognition

  • Must have GAAP knowledge & an understanding of revenue recognition

  • Capable of preparing monthly financial statements to include preparation of monthly balance sheet, income statement, reports on changes in financial position/budget variances

  • Strong excel skills

  • Be able to cope with multiple projects simultaneously
