Role:  Webcast Engineer

Location: Chennai, India

Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on experience), plus company benefits

As one of our major clients continues to expand and require additional services from Kinly, we now have an opportunity for an experienced Webcast Engineer to join our team who will have a passion for media production and be adept at using a range of streaming, audio-visual, and video conferencing technologies.

This role demands an adaptable mindset, a strong technical skill set, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As the Webcast/Podcast Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and professional digital content to support internal communications, client engagement, and thought leadership initiatives.

 

Key responsibilities:

Content Production & Delivery

  • Plan, produce, and edit webcast and podcast content to broadcast-quality standards, ensuring exceptional audio and video quality

  • Manage the full production lifecycle—including pre-production planning, technical setup, live broadcast operations, and post-production editing

  • Deliver events across approved enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams Live Events, Teams Town Hall, Stream), ensuring seamless integration into the company’s digital ecosystem

Technical Operations

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot audio-visual, streaming, and recording equipment in real time, ensuring stable and resilient delivery across global audiences

  • Maintain deep knowledge of modern streaming technologies, CODECs and transmission workflows; recommend enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and user experience

  • Implement secure and compliant production practices aligned with the company’s technology, data-handling, and conduct-risk standards

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Work closely with executives, internal communications, marketing, engineering teams, and SMEs to shape compelling, audience-focused content

  • Guide presenters and stakeholders throughout the entire webcast lifecycle—including scoping, pre-event consultation, technical testing, rehearsal, live delivery, and post-event review

  • Communicate effectively and professionally, providing confidence and clarity to senior leaders and stakeholders

Programme & Workflow Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent productions, prioritising effectively and maintaining quality under tight deadlines

  • Maintain comprehensive production documentation including run-sheets, schedules, asset inventories, technical configurations, and troubleshooting guides

  • Apply and evolve best practices for recording, editing, formatting, and distributing digital media content across internal and external channels

     

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience producing webcasts, podcasts, and live-streamed events within a corporate environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of streaming media technologies, CODECs, servers, and digital media pipelines

  • Experience with enterprise collaboration and broadcast platforms—Microsoft Teams Live Events / Teams Town Hall is highly desirable

  • Proficiency in audio/video editing software such as Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, Audacity

  • Strong understanding of video formats, audio standards, streaming protocols, and distribution workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and deliver multiple complex productions simultaneously

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to support senior executives

  • Highly customer-focused, with sensitivity to confidentiality, time pressure, and stakeholder expectations

  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and technical teams

  • Experience working in regulated or high-governance environments is beneficial
