Kinly is a leading integrator of audio-visual and unified communications solutions, and the largest in Europe, serving as a globally trusted technology advisor to leading organisations. For more than 25 years, we have been designing, developing, integrating and supporting complex audiovisual solutions and businesses rely on us to deliver consistently secure and flexible meeting experiences.

As our business and client base continues to develop further, we now have a new opportunity for someone looking to further their experience in the AV industry into a design pathway.

The Associate Project Engineer role is designed to be a great platform to develop AV design knowledge, which will be supported by training.

The successful candidate will be paired with one of Kinly’s Project Architects, who are highly experienced in designing AV projects and will work on our most complex systems. You will be providing support to the Project architect on these complex projects by producing M&E drawings and supporting the schematic documentation.

In addition to this you will be given your own projects of lower complexity to work on independently utilising the Project Architect to support your queries and develop your experience. As your experience grows you will take on increasingly complex projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce supporting design documentation as required by Project Architect

  • Provide technical ownership for assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle

  • Verify equipment sold is suitable in the final design

  • Produce build level design documentation for assigned projects. Typically, M&E drawings, schematic diagrams, rack layouts, architectural metalwork, schedules and technical registers

Skills and experience:

  • Passionate about technology and experience working within AV already, or coming straight from an AV-specific Higher education course

  • Good understanding of video system fundamentals and technologies

  • Good understanding of audio system fundamentals and technologies

  • Good understanding of AV cabling and connectors

  • Good understanding of IT and networks

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
