Role: Audio Visual Systems Engineer
Location: Singapore
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Salary: $7000 - 9000 SGD per month depending on experience

As we continue to expand across the APAC region, with more prestigious clients, we have a new opportunity for a proven AV Systems Engineer to join our highly talented team in Singapore.
Working on-site at a global customer, the successful individual will join a highly collaborative infrastructure team, being responsible for providing support to the management and systems team.
The engineer will be part of Global AV team that owns the design, development, delivery, and experience of Unified Communications System platforms and the successful individual will be to assist with infrastructure management within the Audio Visual and Unified Communications (UC) systems.
The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of AV and Unified Communications technologies along with experience in Microsoft ecosystem (Intune, teams admin centre, rooms pro portal).
The position also requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with an ability to work across various tasks and shifting priorities.
The ideal candidate should possess some AV and Unified Communications knowledge, but as you will be working with an experienced team, advanced knowledge is not essential.
Key responsibilities:
Assist with implementing, optimizing, and securing Cisco Unified Communications systems and Microsoft teams rooms, including troubleshooting related infrastructure and services.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving systemic issues in the AV and media estate.
Provide support to the operations team for level 3 (L3) issues, leveraging onsite teams and vendors.
Assist with evaluating and designing AV technologies in line with the company’s strategic direction.
Provide reports, forecasts, and data for successful project execution, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major outages.
Work with global engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements, propose solutions, and support infrastructure changes across Barclays’ global AV network.
Collaborate with functional and global teams to plan and implement required infrastructure changes.
Contribute to project steering meetings and assist with project execution.
Support key client events and projects, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Ensure compliance with business management disciplines and help develop fit-for-purpose SLAs and OLAs.
Help manage the lifecycle of AV and multimedia infrastructure, from planning to deployment and decommissioning.
Collaborate with strategy teams to implement required engineering changes and help develop project plans for effective delivery.
Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on AV infrastructure and endpoints.
Document processes, procedures, and develop user and technical guides.
Provide metrics and reports for conferencing services and collaboration technologies.
Adhere to company design, programming, and application standards.
Skills and experience:
0-2 years of experience in AV/Unified Communications environments (experience may include internships or prior roles).
Knowledge of Cisco Endpoints, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools.
Familiarity with troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Event Viewer, Microsoft Teams Rooms log analysis etc.).
Basic understanding of networking technologies (e.g., switches, routers, DNS, firewalls).
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 products.
Knowledge of video conferencing tools (e.g., Webex, Zoom, Skype for Business) and systems.
Basic understanding of AV control systems like Crestron, AMX, and Extron.
Comfortable working in a multi-geo, multi-domain infrastructure.
Basic understanding of ITIL principles is beneficial, but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Desirable Skills:
ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
Prior experience in a corporate or regulated environment is a plus.
Experience in end-user collaboration technologies and AV systems.
Knowledge of REST APIs and experience with basic scripting (e.g., Python, Visual Basic) is a plus.
Experience with M365 products and Microsoft Teams Rooms is an advantage.
Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes.
Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate Certification is a plus
