Role: AV Engineer

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Sizewell, Suffolk (travel required around Suffolk region)

Salary: Highly competitive (dependent on experience), plus company benefits and a company van + fuel card

Interview Process: 2 stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Hours: Monday – Friday; 40 hours working shifts covering 7am-4pm and 10am–7pm

Exciting new opportunity has arisen on a brand new client site, working as an Audio Visual Engineer, to provide dedicated support services to many facets of the client’s technology business across multiple sites in the Sizewell area. The team provide services from full AV/UC room installations to client/end-user meet and greet event support. This is in addition to daily functionality tests of high priority spaces, and ad-hoc and pro-active AV maintenance, technical problem solving, support and upgrade installation work.

The AV Engineer must be able to quickly adapt to fast-paced changing environments, locations, and schedules and provide a high-class service both personally and technically. The engineer will follow a shift pattern based upon a 40-hour working week between the hours of 07:00 & 18:00 ensuring coverage throughout the period.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Reactive support calls to client sites to resolve tickets.

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance visits and communicate identified faults to our helpdesk colleagues and to the client

  • Daily room checks

  • Fault finding of audio visual and video conferencing systems

  • Work collaboratively on troubleshooting and fault fixing, utilizing the existing team and resources within Kinly, and where relevant other service providers across the client estate.

  • Maintain site surveys and asset registers

  • Occasionally support Kinly Project team when onsite installing either for install or supervising

 

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as Polycom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google

  • Ability to operate Videoconference hardware (Microsoft Teams, Webex, Poly, Logi etc) and to troubleshoot any potential issues relating to audio feedback, no video etc.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, UC PCs, Polycom, Logitech, and Crestron Flex VC solutions, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Extron.

  • Avixa CTS preferred, Microsoft Certification desirable.

  • AV install experience is essential.

  • Experienced in delivering support services to large corporate customers.

  • Excellent people skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Maturity, especially when under pressure and being able to maintain excellence in Customer Service with clients of all seniority levels.

  • Expected to complete security screening (BPSS & SC) which will be subject to employment

  • SSSTS & ECS/CSCS Card
