Role: AV Event Technician
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: New York City (on-site)
Salary: $68,000 - $73,000 (depending on experience), plus benefits including: health, vision/dental insurance; disability, vacation, sickness, 401K, commuter benefits & employee assistance program
Hours: 40 hours per week working between 10.30 am – 7.00 pm

We now have a new opportunity for a proven AV Event Technician to join our highly collaborative team, working onsite at a global financial organisation to provide AV and VC technical support across all meeting rooms and event spaces on the client’s site.
The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors of the client to provide a first-class service.
Key responsibilities:
Run AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels etc.
Be the primary contact for event coordination
Liaise with clients for large events to understand their requirements and attend pre-production meetings
Be the primary support to operate global production events and own the event experiences for the meeting host and attendees
Event manage high profile events and become a trusted advisor
Escalate any operational issues to the appropriate level of support and making suggestions for improvements
Provide video/audio conference set-up and support
Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems; investigating faults and recommending further actions to rectify
Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure
Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly
Skills and experience:
Working knowledge of audio-visual systems in conference and even spaces
Experience supporting microphones, speakers, DSP audio systems and mixers
Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webcasting)
Basic understanding of video routing, displays, projectors and switching
Ability to operate and support presentation systems and event technology
Experience with digital audio systems and basic signal flow
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and break-fix of AV systems
Understand cabling, connectivity and AV signal path
Video Conference, Cisco, MTRoW/MTRoA experience
Customer Centric-Strong client-facing support skills
