Role: AV Installation Manager
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Singapore or Hong Kong

As our business and client base continues to develop further, we are now creating a brand new role, to further strengthen our operational presence in the APAC region, to oversee quality in the delivery of professional audio-visual solutions whilst supporting the ongoing development of our installation standards - Providing support, mentorship and training where required to colleagues and partners.
Depending on project requirements and scale, the successful candidate may need to perform their role based from our clients sites or from the Yorktel-Kinly offices.
Key responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
In person or remote quality checks depending on project location / complexity / risk
Assess offsite rack build and provisioning works, and site installation works to ensure the highest standard is kept through all stages of a project
Assess working practices and site conditions to ensure a safe working environment
Assess quality of commissioned systems in line with best practice and project specifications
Provide feedback to our partner management team in support of continuous improvement of our sub-contractor network
Contribute to the ongoing development of Kinly’s project delivery standards
Site Management Responsibilities:
Monitor project progress in cooperation with Project and Program manager(s)
Work with the project manager to coordinate project related resources and resource schedules to accomplish project milestones according to the project schedule
Supervise and/or coordinate Kinly team members, sub-contractors, and external trades
Oversee maintenance of project records including bills of material, asset registers, and drawings (red lines)
Ensure safe working conditions and manage safety incidents in accordance with Kinly and specific site policy
Support configuration and commissioning of low complexity solutions if required
Attend sites for preventative maintenance and service visits if required
Skills and experience:
Expertise in installation, termination and configuration of professional AV systems; including Cabling / Infrastructure, Mounting systems, Display, Video, Control systems, etc
Experience in rack fabrication, prestaging, delivery, and on-site field termination
Strong knowledge of signal flow, cable types, and infrastructure standards
Experience with AV-over-IP technologies and digital signal processing systems
Familiarity with networks and network protocols
Ability to conduct site surveys and assess room readiness
Leadership and Site Management:
Ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of AV installers and engineers
Proficiency in planning and managing the site logistics of AV installations
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and team assignments across APAC
Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as IT, construction, and architects
Ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery
Prioritization of tasks based on project needs and deadlines
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and stakeholders, explaining complex AV concepts in simple terms
Troubleshooting on-site issues with clients and managing expectations
Quality and Compliance
Familiarity with AV industry standards such as InfoComm/AVIXA CTS
Ensuring compliance with local electrical, fire, and safety codes during installations
Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of equipment, proper installation techniques, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to troubleshoot complex AV issues and implement effective solutions in high-pressure environments
Additional
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges during installations
Precision in ensuring high-quality installations and accurate alignment of equipment.
Thoroughness in documentation and reporting of installations, including schematics, system configurations, and user manuals
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through excellent service and support
Excellent technical documentation skills
