Role: AV Site Manager

Contract Type: Full-time, 12 months Fixed Term Contract (possible permanent opportunity)

Location: Hong Kong

Salary: Competitive and negotiable dependent on experience, plus company benefits

With the continued growth of our global project team, working with a high profile global company, we now have a newly created opportunity, working as the Client AV Site Manager, to be responsible for all onsite activities of the projects and to act as the primary site contact for Kinly.

The AV Site Manager will ensure that all work is carried out in a professional and safe manner whilst keeping to the high-quality standards expected from Kinly and our client. This position is responsible for liaising with the client, general contractor, designer, other trades, etc. onsite as well as managing and coordinating the Kinly installation team assigned to the project.

The role will be required to work very closely with the Project Manager and other members of the project delivery team (Project engineering, CAD, testing and commissioning) through the full lifecycle of the project.

Depending on project requirements and scale, the AV Site Manager may perform a mix of installation, basic testing and commissioning as required.

The role will support the ongoing development of our installation standards, providing support, mentorship and training where required to colleagues and partners.

The successful candidate must be passionate about quality and service delivery to our customers with significant on-site experience in construction and commercial project environments.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Nationwide and international installation of professional audio-visual solutions

  • Supervising and/or coordinating project related resources, including Kinly team members, sub-contractors, and external trades

  • Configuration and commissioning of low complexity solutions

  • Carrying out site surveys and providing detailed reports to the project team to identify risks and make recommendations for the project

  • Updating Project Manager on site progress

  • Coordinating project and resource schedules to accomplish project milestones

  • Managing on site logistics, ordering consumables, stock control and deliveries

  • Maintaining and updating proper project records including bills of material, asset registers, and drawings

  • Monitoring installation work to ensure the highest standard is kept through all stages of a project

  • Ensuring that projects are completed in a timely, efficient manner to our clients’ satisfaction

  • Customer engagement and collaboration at all levels

  • Attending site meetings and coordinate with different trades to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Continuous review of opportunities to improve quality, systems and process

 

Skills and experience:

  • Expertise in installation, termination and configuration of professional AV systems, including  cabling, infrastructure, mounting, display, video, audio and control systems, architectural connectivity and equipment racks

  • Experience in rack fabrication, prestaging, delivery, and on-site field termination

  • Precision in ensuring high-quality installations and accurate alignment of equipment

  • Strong knowledge of signal flow, cable types, and infrastructure standards

  • Experience with AV-over-IP technologies and digital signal processing systems

  • Ability to conduct site surveys and assess room readiness

  • Ability to lead and mentor the team of AV installers

  • Proficiency in planning and managing the site logistics of AV installations

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and team assignments

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with AV industry standards such InfoComm/AVIXA CTS is an advantage

  • Ensuring compliance with local electrical, fire, and safety codes during installations

  • Fluency in Cantonese and strong English language
