Role: Calculator

Contract Type: Full-time, One-year contract

Location: Breda (hybrid working; allowing for a mix of working in the office and at home)

Salary: € 3,292 - € 4,730 (depending on experience), plus company benefits

Role Overview:

The Calculator is part of the Technology, Consultancy & Design department at Kinly, reporting to the TC&D Manager and working closely and collaboratively with Sales, Sales Support, Project Management, Work Preparation and System Specialists.

The team operate at the cutting edge of AV/UC technologies, which means you will get the opportunity to work with the latest innovations in audio-visual and cloud solutions across a diverse project portfolio, allowing for a rich landscape for professional growth.

Working as the Calculator, you will collect and analyse all the necessary project data (e.g. High Level Design, Detail Design, functional/technical descriptions or tender documents) and working with all the various teams within Kinly you will determine the required time and the cost of this investment; and ultimately provide a realistic cost price for the realization of the project.

Key responsibilities:

As a Calculator, you monitor the operational margins that we as an organization want to achieve and so this role is key when we are engaging customers.

• Monitor the calculations and performing calculations based on key figures and lesson learned
• Maintain and update the key figures in the calculation program
• Work with Bid teams to create offers related to tenders
• Determine and identify financial risk amounts
• Check quotations for correctness and check the bill of materials
• Determine and appoint operational risk items and formulate this to the project leader
• Ensure a clear demarcation of the work if necessary
• Ensure commercial estimations from Sales is realistically translated into operational planning estimation
• Consult with Sales to arrive at a realistic calculation
• Evaluation of projects after delivery to revise the key figures
• Periodically check the actual costing to improve the quality of calculations
• Tests the results with Project Leaders to improve the calculation process
• Has an active and advisory role in the development of costing of standards for the Product

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience working as a calculator in ICT environment
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing
• Service Provider Knowledge and experience
• Any knowledge of SAP is an advantage
