Role: Event Technician

Contract Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

 

Role Overview:

The role of the Event Technician is to provide technical support for local and virtual events in event spaces. Responsibilities include operating specific event technology such as audio consoles, vision mixers, CCU, as well as providing webcasts, video conferencing, and show-calling services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate customer-provided infrastructure, equipment, and applications in designated live event and meeting rooms.

  • Ensure operational availability of assigned event spaces through regular equipment checks.

  • Perform L1/L2 incident management.

  • Escalate to the technical manager for L3 incident management when necessary.

  • Collaborate globally with other locations and colleagues to deliver the desired live events.

  • Ensure all configuration management data is entered into the customer’s preferred tools.

  • Act as a show-caller when required.

  • Customer management – build and maintain client relationships.

  • Participate in incident and problem management activities.

  • Event management – work with maintenance teams to ensure event spaces are maintained to the highest standard, and collaborate with building management to provide a professional service to clients.

  • Continuous Service Improvement (CSI).

 

Skill Profile:

  • Technical understanding of digital and analog audio and video signal processing standards and protocols, as well as familiarity with audiovisual engineering disciplines associated with complex environments such as auditoriums, meeting rooms, and flexible presentation spaces.

  • Industry experience in areas related to live event production.

  • Infocomm CTS certification preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of Zoom and Teams.
