Role: Graduate / Junior IT Systems Engineer
Location: Singapore
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

As we continue to expand across the APAC region, with more prestigious clients, we have a new opportunity for an ambitious junior IT candidate to join our highly talented team in Singapore.
Working on-site at a global customer, the successful individual will join a highly collaborative infrastructure team, being responsible for providing support to the management and systems team.
The Junior engineer’s primary role will be to assist with infrastructure management within the Audio Visual and Unified Communications (UC) systems. The engineer will be part of the Global AV team, contributing to the design, implementation, and management of collaboration and communication technologies.
Key responsibilities:
Assist with implementing, optimizing, and securing Cisco Unified Communications systems and Microsoft teams rooms, including troubleshooting related infrastructure and services
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving systemic issues in the AV and media estate
Provide support to the operations team for issues, leveraging onsite teams and vendors
Assist with evaluating and designing AV technologies
Provide reports, forecasts, and data for successful project execution, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major outages
Work with global engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements, propose solutions, and support infrastructure changes across Barclays’ global AV network
Collaborate with functional and global teams to plan and implement required infrastructure changes
Contribute to project steering meetings and assist with project execution.
Support key client events and projects, ensuring the highest quality standards
Help manage the lifecycle of AV and multimedia infrastructure, from planning to deployment and decommissioning
Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on AV infrastructure and endpoints.
Skills and experience:
0-2 years of IT experience (experience may include internships or prior roles)
Knowledge of Cisco Endpoints, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools
Familiarity with troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Event Viewer, Microsoft Teams Rooms log analysis etc.)
Basic understanding of networking technologies (e.g., switches, routers, DNS, firewalls)
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 products
Knowledge of video conferencing tools (e.g., Webex, Zoom, Skype for Business) and systems
Basic understanding of ITIL principles is beneficial, but not required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Desirable (non-essential) Skills:
ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
Prior experience in a corporate or regulated environment is a plus.
Experience in end-user collaboration technologies and AV systems.
Knowledge of REST APIs and experience with basic scripting (e.g., Python, Visual Basic) is a plus
Experience with M365 products and Microsoft Teams Rooms is an advantage
Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes
Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate Certification is a plus
