Role: People Advisor
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Sunbury-upon-Thames, UK (hybrid working is available, allowing for a mix of office/home working)
Salary: To £40,000 (depending on experience), plus company benefits

We now have an opportunity for a proven HR / People Advisor, reporting into one of our People Business Partners, to undertake a varied role, but which has a strong focus on internal relationships.
You will be working with and advising line managers across the UK & Ireland region on all people matters, developing strong relationships through becoming a trusted partner and will be providing support to the People Business Partners and be a driving force in new people initiatives.
The role includes line management responsibility for the People Administrator and People Support Placement Student as well as any interns that may support the People Team. In addition, there are a number of projects that the People Business Partners will lead on, the People Advisor will support and follow actions through with line managers and the People Admin team.
Key responsibilities:
Business Support
Provide HR support to the Sunbury, Dublin, London and Livingston offices, with a defined set of departments/cost centres to partner with
Work closely with both People Business Partners to determine and drive key areas of focus for the People Admin team
Regularly meet with, support, and provide trusted people advice to extended management team
Lead probation, absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures
Instigate OH Management referrals and works closely with the line manager and employee to implement the recommendations from OH
Monitor absence level trends and highlight concerns to line managers
Provide support to the People Business Partners with TUPE transfers in and out, or mergers and acquisitions
HR Operations and Reporting
Respond swiftly and appropriately to queries to the People inbox and oversees the assignment of emails and responses of the People Admin team
Own and drive the People SharePoint pages including developing the content and design
Develop and utilise the People SharePoint pages and works alongside the People Business Partners to create, review and develop a manager’s tool kit so that managers can be self-sufficient and access documents as and when required
Employee Engagement
Support the role out of new and ongoing initiatives such as engagement surveys, well-being initiatives, culture events and follow-up actions
Champion diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace and ensures best practice is adhered to
Lead and own the Mental Health agenda – ensuring there is wider communications strategy, calendar of events etc
Oversee employee training initiatives and the accurate recording of completed training programmes
Support UK & Ireland payroll processes & expenses working alongside the Compensation and Benefits Manager
Skills and experience:
Previous experience of HR & Payroll systems
Previous experience of working as a People/HR Advisor in a commercial organisation
Experience of managing complex ER-related issues to resolution
CIPD preferable but not required
Process driven
Clear communication skills
Demonstrable experience of responding to complex People queries
