Role: Procurement Assistant

Contract Type: Full-time, 9 months Fixed Term Contract

Location: Livingston, Scotland

Salary: £28,000 - £33,500 pro rata depending on experience, plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Currently we have an opportunity for a proven administrator / coordinator to join our highly collaborative Procurement Team, based out of Livingston or Sunbury, to oversee purchasing for our Education Work and Maintenance Contracts.

Working with the Scottish Education Team and the Contracts team, you will manage the procurement of all Boxdrops in the UK region and in other UK business regions/entities when required.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Loading and ordering boxdrop sales/installs for kit and services in our ERP System

  • Loading and ordering Contract Maintenance for services in our ERP System

  • Managing Project Managers, Projects Coordinators, Service team and Sales regarding projects/boxdrop timelines

  • Liaising with suppliers on a regular basis to confirm orders, follow up on outstanding order ETAs of kit and dealing with issues that arise, both on a logistic and financial basis including suppliers on pricing, delivery etc

  • Coordination of requests and communication through internal departments and external suppliers

  • Keeping to project deadlines and maintaining records of pricing, purchases and other relevant information

  • Implementing or improving processes, procedures and developing ideas to improve efficiency

  • Collaborating closely with the team to ensure that the defined standard expectations, practice, KPI’s and day to day metrics of the department are upheld consistently

 

Skills and experience:

Whilst previous within a Purchasing/Ordering role would be ideal, it is not essential, whereas the key criteria would be someone with proven administration/coordination experience.

You will also possess a strong attention to detail and be able to work under pressure.
