Role: Accounts Payable Manager

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Cedar Knolls (New Jersey); Kinly operate a hybrid working environment, allowing for a mix of office/work from anywhere

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 (depending on experience), plus large company benefits

Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Currently we have a new opportunity arising in our Cedar Knolls office, working within our collaborative and talented finance team, for a proven AP professional/accountant, to be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, and for managing the time, expense and travel reporting systems.

You will coordinate receipts and bills with procurement, assist with month end book close and support the year end audit.

Key responsibilities:

·       Process incoming vendor invoices and account codes for vendors and subcontractors

·       Prepare payment proposals in line with cash flow forecast & process accounts payable checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments

·       Communicate with vendors to respond to payment status inquiries

·       Monthly journal entries/reconciliations; such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany, and deferred costs/revenue

·       Reconcile and book monthly Travel and Entertainment activity purchase through credit card system

·       Respond to information requests and assists with external and internal audits

·       Develop, document, and manage accounting processes, controls, and systems

·       Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues and discrepancies

·       Manage projects and initiatives as assigned to support Controller and VP of Finance

Job requirements

Skills and experience:

·       Proven experience working in a similar role, within a commercial environment

·       Working knowledge of GAAP

·       Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities

·       Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines

·       Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

·       Clear and professional communication skills (written and oral)

·       Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

·       Experience in QuickBooks preferred
