Role: Associate Project Engineer - AV
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Sunbury-upon-Thames, London, or Livingston (Kinly operate a hybrid working model, allowing for a mix of home and office working), but with travel to Kinly Offices / customer sites as and when required expected

The Associate Project Engineer role is designed to be a great platform to develop AV design knowledge, which will be supported by training.
The successful candidate will be paired with one of Kinly’s Project Architects, who are highly experienced in designing AV projects and will work on our most complex systems. You will be providing support to the Project architect on these complex projects by producing M&E drawings and supporting the schematic documentation.
In addition to this you will be given your own projects of lower complexity to work on independently utilising the Project Architect to support your queries and develop your experience. As your experience grows you will take on increasingly complex projects.
Key responsibilities:
Produce supporting design documentation as required by Project Architect
Provide technical ownership for assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle
Verify equipment sold is suitable in the final design
Produce build level design documentation for assigned projects. Typically, M&E drawings, schematic diagrams, rack layouts, architectural metalwork, schedules and technical registers
Skills and experience:
Passionate about technology and experience working within AV already, or coming straight from an AV-specific Higher education course
Good understanding of video system fundamentals and technologies
Good understanding of audio system fundamentals and technologies
Good understanding of AV cabling and connectors
Good understanding of IT and networks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Good understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
AutoCAD experience preferred
