Role: AV CAD Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Bangalore, India (we offer a hybrid working option, allowing for a mix of office and home working – office 3 times per week in Bangalore)

We now have an exciting brand new role and opportunity for a proven CAD Technician to join our highly collaborative and talented global service delivery team.

Reporting to the Technical Manager APAC, and utilising CAD to produce accurate, coordinated, and standards-compliant documentation (including M&E drawing and schematics) for AV infrastructure across commercial, institutional, and public sector projects you will work closely with project engineers, project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to create detailed 2D drawings that integrate seamlessly within multidisciplinary project environments.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with AV design engineers to translate system designs into detailed, build-ready documentation

  • Develop and manage 2D CAD drawings AV systems, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and details for coordinating

  • Incorporate AV infrastructure into architectural, and mechanical, ensuring proper coordination with other trades

  • Maintain and update AV families libraries, ensuring consistency and adherence to project and industry standards

  • Participate in model coordination meetings and clash detection processes using AutoCAD

  • Assist with as-built documentation, ensuring accurate post-installation documentation

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure AV designs meet technical, architectural, and construction requirements

Skills & experience:

  • Experience in Audio Visual is not essential - This is not a vacancy for architects/building designers; but a background in electrical/MEP/lighting/data would be considered relevant

  • Experience working on commercial projects across corporate and public sector verticals preferred

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required. Experience with Revit is a strong plus

  • Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, and construction documents

  • Familiarity or qualifications in AV industry standards such as InfoComm/AVIXA CTS preferred but not essential

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent technical documentation, communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure is essential.
