Role: AV Event Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: London (on-site)

Salary: Highly competitive (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2 stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Hours: Monday – Friday; 40 hours working between 8.30 am – 4.30pm, however times may vary depending on events scheduled

New opportunity is now available - working on site at one of our blue-chip clients, in central London.

 

Key responsibilities:

EVENTS SUPPORT

  • Running AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, video feeds / wireless microphone battery levels etc.

  • Live Audio / Vision mixing, camera set-up / operation and Zoom / Teams call set-up and operation for hybrid events

  • Primary contact for event coordination and liaising with clients for large events to understand their requirements.

  • Attending pre-production meetings required for any scheduled special events and being the primary support to operate global production events.

  • Owning the event experiences for the meeting host and attendees and assisting management of high-profile events and becoming a trusted advisor.

  • Escalating any operational issues to the appropriate level of support and make suggestions for improvements.

LIVE WEBINAR SUPPORT

  • Live webinar set-up and run including feeding Zoom / Teams into a live webcast.

  • Advising and guiding users on best practice.

  • Supporting virtual events.

GENERAL AV MEETING ROOM SUPPORT

  • Ensuring all event spaces are maintained in good working order, with  AV equipment set-up and support.

  • Providing presentation/multi-media meeting room support, including duration support.

FAULTS AND ROOM CHECKS

  • Carrying out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.

  • Ensuring that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner.

  • Providing proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all events equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.

  • Carrying out all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments.

 

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate must have experience working in a similar position; within a corporate and commercial environment. They will possess strong communications skills, capable of liaising at all levels and will be highly organised and customer-focused.
