Role: Design Engineer Audio Visual

Location: Ireland (ideally within commutable distance of Dublin, but it could be based remotely in Ireland for the right person)

Salary: Highly competitive basic salary (dependent on experience), plus Car Allowance and strong company benefits

Interview process: 2-stage (Virtual first stage & then in-person for a final interview)

Working as a key member of the team, and reporting to the AV Design Team Leader, using an end-to-end consultative approach, you will develop technology solutions and roadmaps, and provide detailed and accurate scope of works, costs and designs, whilst ensuring the successful handover to project engineering and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Conduct survey services at customer sites, and obtain detailed information required to build accurate quotes

·       Consult with sales teams and customers to fully understand and identify requirements

·       Liaise with local installation partners to obtain and validate quotes

·       Produce solution designs that successfully deliver against the requirements

·       Assist in the development of customer technology standards and roadmaps

·       Present proposed solutions to technical and non-technical clients and produce design documentation as required

·       Produce high-level design documentation and drawings as required using CAD / Visio

·       Oversee successful migration of projects from an opportunity to deployment

·       Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle

·       Provide ongoing support and design approval to the Project Engineering team (post-internal handover)

·       Follow projects through implementation to ensure delivery as intended and provide the resulting feedback to the team

·       Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring technical knowledge is gained to provide comprehensive consultancy

Job requirements

Skills and experience:

·       Excellent technical knowledge of AV & UC technologies and trends

·       Good understanding of enterprise networks, LAN and WAN

·       An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends

·       Working understanding of CAD / Visio

·       Ability to understand project schedule and plans

·       Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

·       Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects

·       Ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential

·       Willingness to travel (Full, clean driving license beneficial)
