Role: Senior Audio Visual Events Technician / Engineer

Location: Hong Kong

Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on experience), plus company benefits

As we continue to expand across the APAC region, with more prestigious clients, we have a new opportunity for a proven AV Technician / Engineer to join our highly talented team in Hong Kong.

Working on-site at a global customer, the successful individual will join a highly collaborative team, being responsible for providing AV technical support for all meeting rooms / studios across our client’s campus.

The position involves a high degree of exposure, working with executive management and managing directors to provide the relevant services.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining client relationships, advising clients on best practice, technical risks and potential procedural

  • Direct management of Events Technicians and working with Service Delivery Manager (SDM) to ensure all events are resourced effectively

  • Promoting and delivering team collaboration whilst maintaining team morale

  • Fault Reporting Management – ensuring all faults are reported and escalated

  • Attending all pre-event planning meetings and taking ownership for event resource scheduling, crewing, technical briefing, live event management and post-event debriefing

  • Attending regular client meetings and maintaining close contact with AV Operations Manager

  • Identifying areas of potential technological/operational improvements

  • Project managing of live broadcast across the client sites

  • Providing AV and VC set-up and technical support across all meeting rooms and VC equipped rooms

  • Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting

  • Performing L1/L2 incident management

  • Supporting Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects

  • Service continuity support including preparation for a restoration of service from Power Downs, Black Building Exercises and other planned or unplanned Business Continuity Management activities

  • Assisting with software upgrades and supporting multi-media broadcasting

 

Skills and experience:

  • Proven background working in a technical audio visual support function

  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

  • Experience in managing various systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Cisco, Zoom, VMR, etc.

  • Strong AV / VC experience

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels and confident in developing client relationships
