In Netherlands, Kinly has a highly collaborative and very effective finance function and we now have an opportunity for a proven Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team in Breda, reporting into the Financial Controller.


The role of the accounts receivable manager is crucial within Kinly’s business, as you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring the timely and efficient collection of outstanding receivables, helping to maintain a healthy cash flow and minimizes the risk of bad debts.


You will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable portfolio and monitoring customer credit limits. In addition, the Accounts Receivable Manager bears secondary responsibility for the sales invoicing process and weekly reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable management and invoicing. The role is crucial for maintaining healthy cash flow and minimizing credit risk.


Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the accounts receivable portfolio and following up on outstanding invoices.
  • Monitoring credit limits and assessing the creditworthiness of customers.
  • Collection of outstanding receivables and making payment arrangements if necessary.
  • Processing and resolving payment discrepancies and customer disputes.
  • Maintaining contact with customers to ensure good relationships and identify payment problems early on
  • Weekly reporting on important KPIs related to accounts receivable management and sales invoicing, such as DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), outstanding items, collection rate and credit limits.
  • Analyze KPI data and identify trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Propose to the financial controller and the finance team for process improvements based on KPI analysis.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of KPI reporting
  • Taking care of sales invoicing and ensuring that invoices are sent on time and correctly.
  • Work with the project administrator to ensure accurate project invoicing.
  • Checking invoices for accuracy and completeness, and correcting any errors.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of invoicing processes to increase efficiency.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closings by compiling reports on accounts receivable and outstanding items.
  • Working together within the Finance & Control team to optimize administrative processes and ensure continuity in the absence of colleagues.

Job requirements

Skills and experience:

  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing is essential
  • Knowledge of the ERP/CRM system SAP is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience with the MS-Office package, especially Excel and Teams.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable communicator at all levels
