Role: AV Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Singapore
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Description:
The AV Engineer primary role will be providing architectural support and infrastructure support to the management and infrastructure team. The engineer will be part of Global AV team that owns the design, development, delivery, and experience of Unified Communications System platforms. The position is responsible for the design, selection, implementation, integration, management, user experience and retirement of Collaboration and Communication technology. The position works closely with the IT team and business partners to deliver consistently excellent user experiences and technology experiences for our staff, members, and community.
The ideal candidate should possess advanced AV and Unified Communications knowledge. The position requires intermediate experience using Microsoft Office products. Candidate must have good verbal and written communications skills as well as good customer service skills. Candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities and possess good analytical skills. The candidate should be a fast learner, self-sufficient, and have a logical thought process to carrying out tasks/projects.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to evaluate and system design AV technologies as per strategic direction of the service.
Work with Global Engineering team across geography and stake holders to understand business requirements, propose solutions and implementation of infrastructure changes across the Organization’s global AV network,
Work with functional and global team, speared across geography to plan and execute required infrastructure changes.
Work with operations team for L3 support. Effectively leverage onsite teams and suppliers providing services to the organization
.Ensure quality, cost, and timelines; ensure that performance indicators are regularly reported as part of reports, provides timely updates. Ensure operational hand over and trainings to support teams.
Work closely with operations team and wider BCS/GTIS team to support required changes.
Represent AV for Project Steer co meetings and work with teams assigned to deliver projects.
Taking ownership for key on site events/projects and delivering these to the highest possible standards.
Ensure compliance to all Business Management disciplines.
Ensure that fit for purpose SLA’s & OLA’s are in place and adhered too.
Provide a Level-3 support for systemic issues and major outages for the Media estate
Manage a complete life cycle execution of change delivery for Audio Visual, Multimedia, Audio conference Infrastructure, and deployments for the bank
Provide timely reports, forecast and data to ensure successful execution of the changes. RCA for major outages
Collaborate with Strategy teams for implementations of required engineering changes, prepare a project plan for effective delivery and execution of changes
Compliance to all regulatory, risk and audit requirements and personal leadership on all related matters
Work with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementation, optimization, and security of Cisco Unified Communications system. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting infrastructure and services including CUCM, CUC, IMP, Jabber, video infrastructure and all other Unified Communications application.
Carry out maintenance/upgrades on all Infrastructure and endpoints
Own analysis of new technologies from start to finish
Carry out security review of infrastructure and applications
Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new software, hardware, tools, systems, and processes to provide state-of-the-art collaboration experience.
Develop and maintain user guides, technical guides, project plans and any other system related documentation for respective system.
Provide metrics/reports for conferencing services
Adhere to the design, programming, and application standards as setup by the company. Including compliance with all firm and departmental policies and procedures.
Carry out security review of infrastructure and collaboration tools
Essential skills: (preferable but not limited to technology domain)
Experience working in an AV / Unified Communication environment
Ideally CCIE Collaboration, however CCNP Collaboration will be considered
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
Webcasting technologies with understanding of protocols like RTMP/RTSP/HLS etc.
Advanced knowledge of Cisco Endpoints & Cisco Jabber
Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Event Viewer, Procmon etc)
Knowledge of H.323/SIP/NAT, Firewall Traversal, VMware architecture, Microsoft Server environment (2008, 2012, 2016), Citrix VDI environment & MacOS environment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment (Windows 10)
Knowledge of Networking technologies (Switches, Routers, F5 load balancers, DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, QoS)
Proficient in Cisco Video Conferencing technologies.
Operational knowledge on Crestron, AMX & Extron control/switching technology.
Knowledge on Cisco core video infrastructure CTMS, TMS and gatekeepers.
Desktop videoconference systems, WebEx, Skype for Business, Zoom etc.
TV distribution and digital signage technologies (MediaStar, OneLan, TriplePlay)
Knowledge of
M365 products
Microsoft Teams Rooms solution
Microsoft Surface Hub
Cloud Video Interop (CVI) solutions
Confluence and JIRA
Incident, Problem, Change Management
Good understanding of Software Product Life Cycle Catalogue
Experience in integration with AD, DNS, LDAPS
Experience in Single Sign-On (SSO) setup and troubleshooting
Excellent Client relationship management skills, Vendor management skills & Stakeholder Management
Competent user of Service First
Desirable skills:
ITIL foundation certificate
Previous experience of working within a large financial services organization or other regulated industry
Experience of end user and collaboration technologies - preferably AV technology
Experience on solution integration under multi-geo, multi-domain infrastructure
Programming/Scripting experience (Visual Basic/Python etc.)
Microsoft Certifications like Microsoft Teams [MS-700], Microsoft Teams Voice [MS-720]
Application packaging and deployment
Rest API knowledge (POSTMAN experience a plus)
Documentation skills (Visio a plus)
GLOBAL COORDINATION
Maintaining a good working relationship with global AV counterparts.
Hold and attend regular meetings with global AV teams to discuss service and operations issues.
