Role: AV Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Singapore

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Description:

The AV Engineer primary role will be providing support to the management and infrastructure team. The engineer will be part of Global AV team that owns the design, development, delivery, and experience of Unified Communications System platforms. The position is responsible for the design, selection, implementation, integration, management, user experience and retirement of Collaboration and Communication technology. The position works closely with the IT team and business partners to deliver consistently excellent user experiences and technology experiences for our staff, members, and community.

 

The ideal candidate should possess some AV and Unified Communications knowledge, but as you will be working with an experienced team, advanced knowledge is not essential.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with evaluating and designing AV technologies

  • Work with global engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements, propose solutions, and support infrastructure changes

  • Collaborate with functional and global teams to plan and implement required infrastructure changes

  • Provide support to the operations team, leveraging onsite teams and vendors

  • Ensure quality, cost, and timelines for AV solutions; monitor performance and provide timely updates

  • Contribute to project steering meetings and assist with project execution

  • Support key events and projects, ensuring the highest quality standards

  • Ensure compliance with business management disciplines and help develop fit-for-purpose SLAs and OLAs

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving systemic issues in the AV and media estate

  • Help manage the lifecycle of AV and multimedia infrastructure, from planning to deployment and decommissioning

  • Provide reports, forecasts, and data for successful project execution, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major outages

  • Collaborate with strategy teams to implement required engineering changes and help develop project plans for effective delivery

  • Assist with implementing, optimising, and securing Cisco Unified Communications systems, including troubleshooting related infrastructure and services

  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on AV infrastructure and endpoints

 

Skills and experience: (preferable but not limited to technology domain) 

  • Experience in AV/Unified Communications environments (experience may include internships or prior roles)

  • Knowledge of Cisco Endpoints, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Event Viewer, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of networking technologies (e.g., switches, routers, DNS, firewalls)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 products

  • Knowledge of video conferencing tools (e.g., Webex, Zoom, Skype for Business) and systems

  • Basic understanding of AV control systems like Crestron, AMX, and Extron

  • Basic understanding of ITIL principles is beneficial, but not required

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
