Role: QHSE Associate

Location: Breda, Noord-Brabant (3 days on-site, 2 days working from home)

Salary: € 3,600 – €4,400 (depending on experience), plus company benefits

We now have an opportunity for a new colleague to join our collaborative Breda team, to take responsibility for identifying, analysing, designing, and implementing the overall business processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders within the business to identify processes that can be improved and to develop solutions to achieve these improvements; and you will initiate, stimulate, monitor and coordinate all QHSE topics within Kinly.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Establish, communicate, manage, promote and improve quality, safety, health and environment (QHSE) policies.

  • Identify, analyse, design and implement business processes to improve organisational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage the certification register and implement and maintain QHSE management systems.

  • Conducting internal audits and supervising external audits, including making improvement proposals.

  • Record and analyse QHSE performance, including accident reports, and facilitate workplace inspections.

  • Monitor and help reduce energy consumption, waste streams and carbon emissions within the organisation.

  • Coordinate recycling programmes and circular initiatives.

  • Implement environmentally friendly procurement and transportation strategies.

  • Support certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VCA or environmental management systems (such as Ecovadis).

  • Manage manuals and processes; prepare management information and advise on QHSE trends and developments.

  • Management of facility programmes.

  • Positively promote safety culture and ensure knowledge and awareness among employees.

  • Provide training on quality, safety, health and environment.

  • Ensure transparent reporting, legal and regulatory compliance, manage ESG and integrity risks and implement sustainable and innovative facility solutions in line with ESG objectives.

  • Assist the organisation in further development in the field of ESR and CSR. This in collaboration with global colleagues.

  • Report to management on trends, risks and improvement actions in the field of QHSE.

 

Skills and experience:

  • HBO working and thinking level, preferably in one of the following directions: business administration, information science, safety science, quality and process management, legal

  • Experience in supervising ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, VCA and RIE audits

  • Knowledge of and experience with Lean/ Six Sigma

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding security, privacy and information security

  • Certificate VCA-VOL

  • Good command of the Dutch and English language verbally and in writing is essential

  • Proven experience working in a similar position
