Role: Senior AV Event Technician
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: London, UK
Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Hours: Monday – Friday – 40 hours (rotational shifts; 7am – 7pm)

Exciting new opportunity has arisen to have access to brand new event technology on a prestigious site at the new London HQ of a global bank; client amenities include ergonomically designed workspaces with top of the range technology, kitchen facilities with self service hot and cold drinks, onsite gym (membership required) and multiple food and beverage outlets including a food hall, plus invitations to Client and Kinly team social events.
Working as the senior event technician you will lead event and video conferencing operations and technical support across all event spaces, ensuring that audio-visual operations are delivered in line with the event briefs and that technical escalations related to the client’s audio-visual systems are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
The position plays a key role in how the client views the Kinly team and involves a high degree of exposure, at times working with executive management and managing directors to provide the services listed.
This is a technical role requiring efficient diagnosing and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a punctual service at scheduled times and in accordance with agreed SLA’s, service bookings and event briefs
Lead operation of audio-visual hardware in accordance with the brief and respond to ad-hoc client requests promptly and professionally
Maintain and enhance the audio-visual estate to standards determined by the Management Team through optimisation, enhancement, repairs and routine procedures
Act as the first escalation contact for all technical support requests for all hardware, software and associated peripherals
Redirect or escalate support requests as appropriate to a member of the management and third parties
Pro-actively provide information to the client and Kinly team on the progress of outstanding support calls
Proactively lead and contribute to the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software
Skills and experience:
Experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom communication platforms
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals and teams
Working experience and knowledge Windows operating system (10 or 11) and O365 applications
Working experience and knowledge of Yamaha digital audio desks, with a good understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting
Experience using a helpdesk ticketing solution (ServiceNow, Remedy, Helix, etc.)
CTS certified
